Runners and walkers of all abilities are invited to register for the inaugural Type 1 Willpower Turkey Trot, which will be held Thanksgiving morning in historic Mountain Lakes, New Jersey. Don't miss the first of what promises to become an annual Thanksgiving tradition!
Before you celebrate with family and football, start your Thanksgiving by burning a few calories, catching up with friends and neighbors, and trotting around Mountain Lakes to support cure-focused research and the empowerment of children living with Type 1 diabetes.

Participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt. You MUST register before October 25 in order to guarantee that you will receive a T-shirt. Don't delay!
The Mountain Lakes Club's INDOOR facilities (hooray!) will be open to all participants and spectators.

Strollers are welcome (in fact, you might even win an award).
For the safety of all participants, please leave your dogs, bikes, scooters, skates and the like at home.
There's no better time than Thanksgiving to gather with friends and express gratitude. Type 1 Willpower is grateful to everyone that made this race a reality. The Turkey Trot will distribute awards to the Top 3 female and male finishers in the following categories:
Overall finishers (based on gun time). Overall award winners will not be included in age group awards.
Age group finishers in the following categories: 8 and under, 9-10, 11-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70+.
Athletes living with Type 1 diabetes.
Tri-Town residents (Mountain Lakes / Boonton Township / Boonton).
Top 3 finishers pushing a jogger/stroller (because we, at Type 1 Willpower, always loved pushing our kids in joggers).
